About Maxime Van Damme
I’m currently working as a remote IT Consultant freelancer, looking for opportunities in analysts/team coordinator roles as well as developper opportunities.
For the major part of my adult life, I’ve worked as an IT Consultant for Accenture in Belgium.
I studied applied computer science (specification in network and telecommunications) at the ESI HE2B in Brussels and gratuated in 2016 after a 3 months internship in the Accenture Delivery Center of Riga.

Professional experiences
January 2021 – 2022 – Freelance Software Engineer – Consultant
- 2021 – 2022 – Project in the aeronautical sector for an European company
Infrastructure as code project, centered around container orchestration with several functionalities : secret and certificate management in a vault (Hashicorp), persistence (Mongo DB, RDBMS), messaging (Solace), queuing (Kafka), centralized logging and monitoring (Elastic Stack)
I joined this project as a functional analyst to support the Product Owner in the definition of the functionalities to present to the engineer as well as following up their daily activities and verifying that the final work matches the expectations. The team grew over time and in 2022 I started to switch to a more technical lead role where I helped cross-team coordination and technical alignment in the project, to keep the integrity in an increasing team size.
October 2016 – November 2020 – Consultant Accenture Belux
- 2019 – 2020 – Project in the aeronautical sector for an European company
Devops using Jenkins & AWS – Spring in containers (kubernetes) – Angular – Jira – Saucelabs
I joined the project at the beginning, I was the main functional analyst in a small team (3 people in Brussels). I created the functional specifications based on the client’s requirements. Afterward, my role was to follow-up with the development team on the progress. A test team (automated and manual) was created and I executed the first knowledge transfer to them, helping on the test case specifications. During the FAT testing, I kept leading the different teams, providing functional explanations were required and using my technical skills to assist in defect analysis to fasten the process. I left during the UAT of the project. - 2016 – 2019 – Project for a Belgian company in the utility sector
Software AG – MECOMS – Enterprise Architect – Microsoft Team Foundation Version Control
I had the opportunity to vary my responsibilities, from a technical analyst role to a more functional role once I gained enough knowledge. At that moment, I became additionally responsible for the technical analysis of functional changes as well as following up the specification update, implementation and testing of those changes.
March 2016 – May 2016 - Intern Accenture Riga
- During my internship, I worked at the Riga Delivery Center as a front-end developer on the website of an entertainment company with the CMS WordPress (main languages were HTML/CSS/Javascript)
March 2014 – Now – Website Developer for Ambiente by Nana (local store)
- The website started as a simple custom HTML/CSS static website with MailChimp mailing listing and evolved into a WordPress CMS, to which I later added the WooCommerce plugin to start an e-shop for the store
